Reception at Cuddington: what to expect

Starting school is an exciting milestone. At Cuddington, we make sure every child feels welcomed, safe and ready to thrive from day one.

In Reception, children learn through a balance of play, exploration and carefully structured teaching, following the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. As a small, friendly school, staff get to know every child as an individual, creating a nurturing environment where children quickly settle, build confidence and develop a love of learning.

Children also benefit from our excellent facilities and outdoor spaces, with plenty of opportunities to explore, be active and stay curious. With a strong focus on wellbeing and personal development, we help every child build the foundations they need for a happy and successful start to school life.
