Free School Meals
Surrey County Council has announced a centrally-funded programme for providing free school meals using supermarket vouchers. These vouchers are available for those who have applied and received confirmation of entitlement, and so are benefits-related. If your situation has changed, or you think that you might be entitled to free school meals you will need to complete one of the forms attached below and send to the School Office. We will do all we can to process these as swiftly as possible, but given the unusual circumstances it may take a number of weeks for entitlement to be confirmed.
Your child may be able to get free school meals if you get any of the following:
- Universal Credit - with an annual net earned family income of no more than £7,400
- Income Support
- Income-based Job seekers' Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (with no Working Tax Credit ) with an annual gross income of no more than £16,190.00, as assessed by HMRC . NB: If you receive WORKING TAX CREDIT you do NOT qualify even if you receive child tax credit and your income is below £16,190) .
- Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
If you think that you might be entitled to free school meals you will need to complete the application form and either email or drop it into school. We will do all we can to process these as swiftly as possible, but given the unusual circumstances it may take a number of weeks for entitlement to be confirmed.
